About Us

     Performance Technology is a business consulting practice established in 1992 to assist start up and growing businesses in meeting the challenges inherent in launching a new enterprise and guiding it to profitable success.  Performance Technology is the merger of the talents of  its founding principals, Dish Taylor and Ty Wapato.

     Performance Technology clients include companies in biotechnology research and development, biotech product manufacture and distribution, medical device manufacture and sales, paper products manufacture and distribution, pharmaceuticals manufacture and sales, clothing distribution and sales, restaurant equipment sales and distribution, and others.

     In 1999 Performance Technology extended its practice to owners and operators of home based enterprises.  Our experience has is that the challenges facing home based business owners are the same challenges that traditional business structures must overcome to be successful.  One significant difference is that most traditional business operators use the capital provided by business investment groups or individuals but home based business people usually are the sole financers of their enterprises.

     One of our primary goals is to help home based business owners conserve capital while at the same time encouraging them to not starve their businesses out of existence.  Offering quality products at affordable prices and assisting in the ongoing information and education necessary to the growth of any business is our main focus.

Dish Taylor

Dish Taylor began her business career in the sales and marketing arm of Xerox Corporation in Vancouver, B.C.  She rapidly progressed from a sales position to major account management.  She was recruited by the United States firm Krakower-Brucker International to supervise major accounts in their Los Angeles office.  Subsequently she formed her own consulting practice with a broad international clientele.  Her consultative concentration was in director and executive leadership development, executive problem resolution paradigms, manpower acquisition, development and retention programs, and policy development and dissemination.

Ty Wapato

Ty Wapato began his career in an industrial engineering capacity with General Motors Corporation.  He moved on to a term of five years as a sworn officer with the Los Angeles Police Department.  During this period he completed his education at California State University.  He then had a successful 13 year career with a national insurance firm, developing an agency force of 140 sales personnel and more than 40 support and administrative staff handling more than $100 Millions in annual premium income.  Subsequently Wapato engaged in a consulting practice to the insurance industry, which then expanded to other financial services businesses and technical industries as well.

In 1990 Wapato and Taylor collaborated on several consulting assignments which led to the merger of their abilities to form Performance Technology.
